Fished the morning run out tide yesterday in the back creeks around Romiaka, the mossies are absolutely thick up there at the moment, so we gave it a miss early and trolled instead, picking up 1 really good flathead of aound 55cm and a string of small flathead and bream. The Flattie took a Manns 5+ in green. In the afternoon I headed down to the T-piece at the mouth of the river for a late afternoon crack at the blackfish and landed one good sized fish before it got dark. I had another crack today and got another 3. It is pretty tough fishing with the fish timid and not really any consistency in the bites. I think it would help to berley and have a bit of green weed and cabbage as well. There are fish being caught all oer the lower river but they are patchy and hard going. There were a few nice ones caught next to the Calypso Van park right where the tug ties up and more on the corner of the southern wall.

I would love to have a crack at the rocks but the swell is pretty big with waves affecting whiting beach which is inside the river!
